Our Story
Upstart Investments founded the Amcom Upstart accelerator program in 2015 which morphed into the Vocus Upstart program in 2016. The program provided 15 startups with seed capital and an extensive three-month mentoring program based on the Techstars playbook.
The Upstart Accelerator program was one of the first seed accelerator programs in Australia from which we learned many valuable lessons.
We continue to support WA’s startup ecosystem through mentoring, investing, advising, and championing early-stage technology companies.
Investment
Startups
We provide mentorship in leading accelerator programs including Curtin Accelerate and Plus Eight.We typically invest small amounts at the pre-seed and seed stages in startups that have completed an accelerator program. We are not a VC and won’t lead your series A, but can help you navigate the market. We are founder focussed and aim to make a difference.
Investors
We have invested in over 30 startups in the last 10 years and have learned many valuable lessons along the way. You can co-invest with us on a deal-by-deal basis through our investment syndicate. There is no fee to join and no obligation to invest.
